WHAT WE DO
Looking after clients in London and the South East
Financial planning for life's transitions
Change is the only constant in life. We specialise in helping clients through life’s transitions like divorce, the death of a spouse or a parent, retirement, and many other things life throws at us. Some of the transitions we encounter are joyful and can be planned for, whilst others happen unexpectedly and can destabilise our finances, confidence and resilience. You may want more than a rote response or a templated advice process at times like these. Our approach differs for every client; it depends on what you need and when.
How we do financial planning
Financial planning is like doing a jigsaw puzzle; we could start with the corners or the edges, but unless we know what the picture on the box looks like, it’s hard to know what we are aiming for. You may have a clear idea of the life you wish to live, in which case we can work with you to build a financial plan to achieve the life you want. Or you may face a different future than the one you imagined and struggle to see what comes next. That’s ok! We will give you all the time you need to talk through what’s going on and what you need and help you tackle any pressing issues or decisions. We then guide you step by step towards a positive future and your life goals without running out of money
Why we do what we do
Our greatest joy comes from seeing our clients grow in confidence, understanding how their finances relate to the life they can live and enjoying the best of life, knowing that their financial plan will keep them secure.
ABOUT KAREN
An Economics graduate, I started my career as a graduate trainee with Coopers & Lybrand (now part of PwC) but quickly realized that audit was not for me.
I moved into financial services working for some well known names in the city. I never felt comfortable with the traditional transactional approach to financial advice, nor the reduction in service between initial transactions where clients would be promised the earth but in reality only ever receive the bare minimum ‘sausage factory’ of ongoing service. I wanted to do more for clients than just building funds to manage.
I am a Mum to three daughters and the owner of a mud-loving golden retriever. I was the first financial adviser to sit on a Resolution committee and am a current trustee for the charity One Plus One.
